Open PDFs and photos, or render MusicXML / MXL as clean sheet music. Use zoom and page controls for comfortable reading.

Listen to the notes

MusicXML and MIDI play through a built-in synthesizer. MIDI opens as a piano roll. Choose a sound, slow down, mute parts or repeat a section.

Bring a recording

Load an audio file or MP4 video, then switch back to Score. Choose the recording under Practice → Listen to.

Scans need a companion

PDFs and photos are visual files. Automatic note recognition (OMR) is not included. Add a matching MIDI, MusicXML or recording to hear them.

Playback details

MusicXML plays written measures in order with tempo changes, voices, chords and ties. Repeats, jumps, grace notes and expressive ornaments are not performed. Transposing instruments use their sounding pitch. MIDI uses a synthesized approximation; pitch bend and pedal controllers are not reproduced.

Media support depends on your browser's codecs. iPhone playback starts after you tap Play; use the device buttons for recording volume if needed. Files are processed in your browser and are not uploaded. Session files are not saved after closing or refreshing.

Keyboard: Space to play/pause, ← / → to seek, Esc to leave focus mode. WAV export uses the selected sound, speed, transpose and audible parts; loops do not affect exports.
